The songs were self-recorded during house sitting stops around Otago harbour in Aotearoa New Zealand (Sawyers bay Dec-Jan, 2018-19, Portobello, April 2019, Whakaohorahi June 2019).
The tracks were Mastered by Alan Haig In Portobello late 2019 & revisited early 2021.
The lyrics of Barn were created in collaboration, from found pages of a children’s story book gifted by Arno Loeffler.
The opening verse of 66 songs quotes the late John Prine, from an interview at the House of Strombo, Dec 2018, “you can’t try to get back to what you were, you just become what you are day by day”.
