Antony Milton I Summit Is Fragile Cass.
Summit Is Fragile
A key member of New Zealand’s storied experimental music scene, Antony Milton has been recording and releasing all kinds of sounds since the early 90s. C/Site is proud to reissue his 2008 lathe-cut LP Summit Is Fragile. Recorded in 2007 in the mountains of Arthur's Pass on the South Island, Summit… was recorded using a loop pedal and mini mixer lined to a Walkman to achieve its unique sound. It was recorded between hikes, when rain and snow kept Milton and his partner inside their cabin and nearby the fire. Consisting of banjo, occasional vocals, field recordings and found sounds the album is an intimate glimpse into a particular moment in the artist's life and travels. Originally issued on Milton’s own PseudoArcana imprint in an addition of 40 lathe-cut LPs with silk screened covers, this is a limited edition reissue of 75 hand numbered copies.
